About
This game builds on Facepunch’s modern s&box sandbox experience and expands it with tools and systems for technical creations. Instead of recreating the old Garry’s Mod, it preserves the original s&box experience and builds directly on top of it.
The main focus is constructing functional machines, vehicles, and automated systems. Mechanical components, engines, controls, and practical building tools give you the freedom to create anything from simple mechanisms to complex technical builds.
Many of these systems are inspired by popular Garry’s Mod addons such as Wiremod and ACF, with familiar ideas adapted for the modern s&box platform.

Sandbox Mechanics is built on Facepunch Studios’ open-source Sandbox project for s&box, licensed under the MIT License.
Additional inspiration comes from Precision Alignment by the ACF Team and Wenli, Precision Tool by generalwrex with contributions from Hunted and XNG Sheders, Wiremod and its contributors, and Proper Clipping by Sevii77 and its contributors.
The referenced mechanics and workflows were independently reimplemented in C# for s&box. No original Lua code, models, textures, or other assets from these addons were copied.
