Right now it looks a lot like Minecraft. That is deliberate for this stage: the foundations come first, and the original ideas come once they hold up.

S&BoxCraft drops you into an endless voxel world grown from a seed you pick yourself. Break blocks, gather what you find, work your way up from wood to diamond, and build whatever you want. Bring friends and the whole world is shared.
Found a bug, or want something added? Put it in the Forum tab or leave it in a review. A lot of what is in the game now started as somebody's suggestion.
If you have played Minecraft you already know how to play this. There is no tutorial and you will not need one.
🌍 A World From a Seed
Type a number, get a world. Plains, forest, taiga, swamp, savanna, jungle, desert and mountains, each with its own trees, grass colour and ground under your feet. Oceans, lakes and rivers between them. There is no edge to walk off: keep going and it keeps building itself ahead of you.
⛏️ Dig Down
Everything you can see can be broken and put somewhere else. Sand and gravel fall when you dig out whatever was holding them up, so think before you tunnel under a beach. Caves run deep, lava pools sit at the bottom of them, and the ore worth having is always further down than you want it to be.
⚒️ From Wood to Diamond
Craft on the small grid in your inventory, or on a crafting table when you need the full one. Pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, swords and shears, in five materials, each with its own speed and its own patience. Smelt ore in a furnace, keep what you are not carrying in chests, and put torches up before the light goes.
🛡️ Armour You Can See
Sixteen pieces across leather, gold, iron and diamond. It wears down, it breaks, and it shows on your character and on everyone else in the world with you.
🌙 Nights Are Not Safe
Light decides what appears. Zombies come out of the dark. Skeletons keep their distance and shoot back, and catch fire when the sun finds them. You can put a bed down and sleep through the night, or put enough torches down and hold your ground.
🌱 Farm, Dye, Decorate
Till soil near water, plant wheat, come back later. Sixteen dyes out of the flowers and the things you dig up, sixteen colours of wool, sixteen beds to match.
👥 Play With Friends
Host a world and friends join straight through Steam, up to sixteen of you. Everything is shared: the blocks you break, the chests you fill, the hour of the day, the things that come out at night.
🌐 Share What You Built
Publish a world to the Steam Workshop and anyone can download it and walk around in it. It carries the terrain, the buildings and whatever you left in the chests. You can browse what other people have shared straight from the main menu.
🎨 Creative Mode
Pick it when you make the world. Fly, build, and never worry about the dark.

Some of them you will get without trying. A few you will not.
