On shift you serve the customers. Off shift you are one. The parking lot's waiting.
On the clock: keep the store running, fix what breaks, ring up other players at the register and pocket a commission on every sale.
Off the clock: spend what you earned, figure out what the locals in the parking lot want, deliver before someone else does, build a rep, get rewarded. Or skip the honest path. The locals won't take stolen goods, but someone underground will.
