Ghost Shell is a terminal-based hacking game where you take on contracts, infiltrate remote systems, exploit vulnerabilities, steal valuable data, and disappear without leaving a trace.
Gameplay Features
- Hack Through the Terminal: Scan networks, discover services, exploit vulnerabilities, navigate remote systems, read files, and exfiltrate data using terminal commands.
- Take on Contracts: Accept operations from different clients with unique targets, risks, objectives, and rewards.
- Multiple Difficulties: From Easy to Extreme, higher-risk contracts offer greater rewards and more demanding operations.
- Trace System: Your actions generate trace while connected. Manage your exposure and get out before the system catches you.
- Exploit Challenges: Find vulnerable services and solve typing challenges to gain access.
- Multiple Objectives: Complete primary objectives and optional tasks such as finding evidence, disabling services, deleting logs, installing backdoors, and more.
- Hidden Objectives: Discover secret opportunities while exploring compromised systems.
- Multiple Exfil Targets: Some contracts require you to steal several files, while decoy files can lead you astray.
- Stealth & Clean Runs: Stay quiet, avoid errors, and complete operations cleanly for additional rewards.
- Dynamic Contracts: Targets, clients, objectives, files, services, and operational conditions change from contract to contract.
- Mission Tracker: Keep your objectives and hints visible while you work through the terminal.

- Black Market Upgrades: Spend your money on hardware and software upgrades to improve your setup and hacking capabilities.
