Build a mining farm out of graphics cards, from a potato to the Moon.

THE LOOP
Buy cards and put them to work on your rack. They mine hashes into the pit, but only while they run: every card overheats from time to time, mines at half speed, and breaks if nobody looks after it. Walk up to the GPU tablet by your pit, cool down the hot cards and repair the broken ones. Then scoop the hashes out of the pit and carry them to the stall.

THE ONE DECISION
The exchange rate rolls between 0.50x and 1.50x every 30 seconds, and it is the same rate for everyone on the server. Sell now at 0.70x, or keep the farm running and wait for the spike?

30 TIERS OF HARDWARE
Every card is a real model standing on your rack: Potato, Toaster, GeFarce, Radeoff, ENVIDIA, all the way up to The Moon. Better cards mine far more and overheat faster, so your top shelf needs the most attention. Merge three of a kind into one card of the next tier, and pay the shop to start selling better cards.

REBIRTH
Wipe the farm for a permanent mining multiplier and two more tiers in the shop. Gems buy permanent upgrades, including Cooling, which keeps your cards running longer before they overheat.

UP TO SIX PLAYERS
Six islands around one plaza, a farm each, one shared exchange rate. At 1.45x everybody runs for their sell pad at the same time.

GLOBAL LEADERBOARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Coins earned, GPUs bought and rebirths are ranked across everyone who has ever played, on boards in the middle of the map.

  • Broken cards - an overheated card that nobody fixes within 20 seconds breaks: it turns dark red, shows BROKEN, stops mining and stops dropping coins.
  • GPU tablet - a tablet on a stand by your pit, wired to the rack with a cable. Walk up to it and press E: it lists every card you own with its level, shelf, place on the shelf and how much it mines, broken cards first.
  • Cool and repair - an overheated card on the tablet has a COOL button, a broken one has REPAIR. Press it and the card flashes green and gets back to work.
  • Better cards are fussier - a potato runs for about 100 seconds before it overheats, the best cards for about 55. Keep an eye on your top shelf, that is where the money is.
  • Warnings - the screen tells you how many cards are overheating or broken, a short beep plays when a card overheats, and a fan dying sound when one breaks.
  • Arrows to the tablet - when a card breaks, a row of glowing arrows on the ground leads you from wherever you are to the tablet.
  • Cooling - a new upgrade in the Upgrades menu: cards run up to twice as long before they overheat.

Improved

  • Lucky blocks and gems - they only drop while at least one card is working, so a farm left alone stops producing them too.

Fixed

  • Invisible wall by the pit - the coin tray had an invisible floor sticking out past its rails on both sides, and you could walk into it on the grass next to the pit. It now follows the shape of the tray.

  • Offline earnings - the farm no longer pays you for the time you are away, and the Offline earnings window is gone. Levels you bought in the Offline earnings upgrade carry over to Cooling, nothing is lost. Coins that were still waiting on the old COLLECT button are not paid out.

  • Every card rebuilt - cards from level 1 to level 25, The Simulation and Galaxy Slab were rebuilt from scratch: clean shapes, proper fans with curved blades, sharp labels and much lighter models.

  • Golden cards - every rebuilt card has its own baked gold: deep gold in the gaps, bright edges and a real metal shine instead of flat yellow paint.
  • New look - the buttons, the card rack, the coin tray, the shop and the exchange board now share one light steel style with glowing trim.
  • Buttons - the floor pads are real buttons now: a steel base with screws, a glowing ring in the button colour and a key with an icon for what it does. Stand on one and the key sinks in, every click gives it a kick and a flash.
  • Card rack - steel posts on bolted feet, shelves with a strip glowing in your island colour, and a stand under every slot, so you can see where your next card goes.
  • Coin tray - steel rails with glowing strips, arrows pointing down to the pit, corner posts, and no more grass showing through between the tray and the pit.
  • Shop - the SELL stall is a proper market stall now: a striped awning in your island colour, a big GF coin on the roof, a pile of coins and a register on the counter, and the keeper standing right behind it.
  • Exchange board - steel frame, a glowing EXCHANGE header, and the numbers printed right on a light screen.
  • Guide arrows - the arrows that show new players where to go are solid glowing arrows on a dark base now.
  • Prize reveal - the card you win now faces you instead of spinning around, so you can tell what it is at a glance, and the reel turns calmly instead of shaking.
  • Text - every label in the world uses one style: white for names and big numbers, green for money and levels, gold for anything golden, and the button colour for a line about that button.
  • Side buttons - Rebirth and Upgrades on the right now match their windows: purple with a thick outline, turning green when there is something to do.
  • Gem limit - the 34 / 1000 gem counter now sits next to your gems instead of under them.

Fixed

  • Framerate - the Mining Rig was built from half a million triangles, and a few of them on the rack dragged the framerate down. It is now seven times lighter.
  • Floating players - a player who joined someone else's server could float and slide around instead of walking. Movement now works the same for everyone.
  • Lucky blocks - opening a second block while the first was still revealing made the two reveals overlap, and a quick double open could skip the first reveal completely. Blocks now open one at a time, and the button says ONE AT A TIME until the reveal ends.

  • Golden cards - during a Gold Rush every card you buy has a 10% chance to come out golden. A golden card is the same card cast in gold with GOLDEN over its name, and every coin it drops is worth three ordinary ones.
  • Golden merging - golden cards merge only with golden cards. Three golden cards of one level fold into one golden card of the next, so gold is never lost in an ordinary merge.
  • Diamond Coins - a new gem upgrade that opens at rebirth 3 with the rest of the gem shop. Each of its five levels adds a 5% chance that a coin falling off a card turns to diamond, up to one coin in four, and a diamond coin is worth six of that card's coins.
  • Gem Multiplier - a new gem upgrade that opens at rebirth 3 with the rest of the gem shop. Each of its ten levels adds a 2.5% chance, up to 25%, that the gems you pick up are tripled. The extra gems do not count toward the limit of 1000 per 12 hours.

  • Upgrades menu - redrawn from scratch: bright tiles two to a row with a picture for every upgrade, the price on a purple button that turns red when you are short of gems, and a list that scrolls with the wheel or the bar on the right.
  • Rebirth window - redrawn in the same style: now and next side by side with the mining bonus and the highest card level each allows, a progress bar to the next rebirth, and a plain list of what a rebirth resets and what it keeps.
  • Offline earnings window - redrawn in the same style: the coins your farm made while you were away in big print, how long you were gone and how much of it counted, and how close you came to the offline limit.

  • Card labels - labels over cards no longer flicker. When several cards shared a level, their identical labels blinked in and out every moment; each label now stands on its own.

  • Level 30 is the punchline. The most expensive card in the game looks like the cheapest: beige plastic, a yellowed fan, a peeling serial sticker, and a tiny screen showing this very farm.
  • Income keeps climbing at the same step it always did. Every new level mines three and a half times the one below it, so the top of the ladder is worth reaching rather than a row of trophies.
  • The shop reaches level 26 at generation 12 and level 30 at generation 14. Below that they are still yours by merging, three into one, the same as every card before them.

  • Four permanent upgrades bought with crystals: rebirth start cash, processing speed, coins per hash, and offline earnings. They are the only progress in the game a rebirth does not take back.
  • Every upgrade shows what it gives now and what the next level gives, so a purchase is never a guess.

Fixed

  • Big numbers no longer break. Past nine quintillion the counters used to roll over into a negative, and the exchange sign showed a twenty digit minus across the screen. The whole economy was rebuilt on a number type that reaches far past anything a farm can produce.
  • Number suffixes go past Qa. A leaderboard reading "4210.26Qa" now reads "4.21Qi", and the ladder continues for another forty ranks after that.
  • Counters no longer show four digits before the suffix. A balance printed as "1000Sx" now reads "1Sp", which is the same number written the way it was meant to be.
  • Exchange upgrades stopped being free. Past level 500 both the price and the bonus were frozen, so every further level cost the same and gave the same. The cap is gone and the price now grows with the level.
  • The leaderboard no longer flattens everyone at the top into the same number.
  • Farms already broken by the overflow are repaired on load instead of being written off.
  • Closed a hole that let a modified client hand itself coins, cards, spins and rebirths. The commands behind those were already blocked, but the requests underneath them were not.

  • Your farm now lives on your own machine instead of the host's. Join anyone's lobby and it comes with you, plays as yours, and goes home with you when you leave.
  • Fixed the big one: progress disappearing after a session somebody else was hosting. Everything you mined there stayed on their computer with no way to reach it. It follows you now.
  • A save damaged halfway through writing is no longer fatal. The previous good one is kept next to it and loads instead.

Known issues

  • The first join after this update is the one exception. You have no copy yet, so the farm is picked up from the machine of whoever is hosting. If you used to play in someone else's lobby, join that same person once and your farm moves over to you for good.
  • The farm is stored on the computer you play on. Sitting down at a different PC starts you fresh.

  • Every course is a different shape, not the same one made tighter. The easy one runs straight, the hard one breaks into sharp turns you have to take mid-jump, and the hardcore one spirals back on itself for forty five obstacles.
  • Falling off a course puts you back at its start, not on your farm.
  • A wheel of fortune. Spend a spin, win a boost. Every slice is the size of its own chance, so the wheel you look at is the odds table.
  • Three kinds of boost, each with three strengths: mining speed, coins you pick up, and how fast the exchange gets through your hashes.
  • Boosts do not replace each other. A 1.25 and a 1.5 of the same kind both run, each on its own five minute timer, and their bonuses add up to 1.75. Winning the same one again extends that timer instead.
  • Each course rests after a run: ten minutes for easy, twenty for hard, thirty five for hardcore. The other two stay open while one rests.

  • Only your single best card rolls for a block, and only from LVL 6 onwards. The rest of the rack does not take part, so a wall of potatoes will not find you anything.
  • Three kinds of block. Basic is common, Diamond is rarer and Quantum is rare. The rarer the block, the more it costs and the better its worst outcome: a Quantum block cannot give you anything below your best card.
  • Drop chances, rolled once per mining wave and a wave is six seconds: Basic 1.25%, Diamond 0.67%, Quantum 0.17%. In practice that is a Basic about every 8 minutes, a Diamond about every 15 minutes and a Quantum about once an hour.
  • What is inside, counted from your best card. Basic: one level below it 75%, the same level 20%, one above 5%. Diamond: the same level 60%, one above 30%, two above 10%. Quantum: one above 55%, two above 30%, three above 15%.
  • Opening a block plays a reveal on your screen: cards spin past, slow down, and the winner drops in with its name and level.
  • Blocks wait in your pit instead of replacing each other, so nothing is lost while you are away.
  • Every block takes room a coin could have used, and each extra block of the same kind takes more than the last. Sit on a hoard and your pit fills up, which stops the mining until you deal with them.
  • A block always drops when its roll comes up, even if there is no room left in the pit at all.
  • A block keeps the price and the cards it was found with. Growing your rack afterwards does not change what is already lying there, and a rebirth clears your blocks along with everything else.
