I’m Sainz, a lifelong gamer turned indie developer, and devpax is where I make blocky, arcade-style co-op games for s&box; Looking to expand on this in the near future. I’ve loved games for as long as I can remember, and the old Boxhead flash games are what finally pushed me to make one of my own. devpax started in 2025, and my first release is Dead Blocks, a 1–6 player zombie survival game where you hold the block for as long as you can. It’s just the beginning, so expect updates, new ideas and more games to come.

About devpax

I’ve loved games for as long as I can remember. Long before I knew how they were made, I knew I wanted to make one of my own.

A lot of that started with Boxhead, the old flash game where you’re boxed into a few city blocks and the zombies just keep coming. Late nights, “one more wave”, trying to beat a friend’s score… it stuck with me for years. That simple loop of surviving, chaining kills and unlocking bigger guns is a big part of why I wanted to make games at all.

devpax is where I finally started doing it.

Dead Blocks: my first game

Dead Blocks is my love letter to those flash-game nights. It’s an original blocky zombie survival game built from scratch for s&box, with its own characters and arsenal, and online co-op for 1–6 players. Hold the block, chain your kills, build walls and traps, and see how many waves you can survive before the Abomination shows up.

What’s next

Dead Blocks is brand new and it’s going to keep growing, with more content, new ideas and plenty of balance tweaks based on what players tell me. If you find a bug or have an idea, the Report Bug button in the pause menu sends it straight to me.
