The goal of Rooftops 2026 is to modernize and build upon the aspects that made the original Rooftops so iconic. With the new possibilities of Source 2, Rooftops 2026 expands the sense of scale and verticality while emphasizing movement-focused gameplay and emergent interactions that allow players to transform the map as each round unfolds, creating the unpredictable moments and player stories that make TTT so replayable.
CURRENT STATUS
Rooftops 2026 has now moved beyond its early release phase. The baseline layout, visual identity and gameplay have been established, and further updates and development are planned as the S&box community and platform grow and more opportunities for testing and feedback arise.

If you're developing a game using Rooftops 2026, feel free to contact me about feedback, requests or any other queries regarding the map and your game.
MAP FEATURE COMPATIBILITY
Rooftops 2026 is developed primarily for TTT and, as a result, uses several systems and game objects from the TTT library for its intended gameplay functionality. If you wish to support features such as the jump pads, ziplines, drawbridges and battery pads in your own game, you will need to implement support for the relevant parts of the TTT library. Alternatively, certain interactive objects have intentionally been separated into game objects, allowing developers to enable or disable them according to the needs of their game.
LADDER COMPATIBILITY
Unfortunately ladders do not work by default outside of TTT due to a lack of official implementation. Ladders in Rooftops 2026 simply utilize the tools texture sbox/core/materials/tools/toolsinvisibleladder.vmat_c that comes with stock S&box. Implementing ladder functionality around that particular material would be recommended for compatibility with not only Rooftops but the broader TTT map catalogue.
