FleshOS boots up. The desktop is your playground.

Drag people out of folders and do whatever you want to them. Bodies have skin, flesh, bone and organs: they bleed, break, burn, lose limbs, pass out and die. Fleshy, your FleshOS assistant, shows you around, and everything you break pays megabytes to spend in the FleshOS Store.

NEW in 3.0, Welcome to FleshOS:
• Meet Fleshy, your assistant: a quick start teaches you spawning, guns, tools, powers, water, Paint and driving
• Everything you break pays MB: spend them on a cannon, an anvil, a piano, a wrecking ball, hats and wallpapers
• Three new operating systems: FleshOS 98, Pear OS X and Flinux, each with its own disaster
• Every vehicle redesigned: a 90s muscle car, a monster truck, moon rockets, a glider and a prop plane
• Performance mode for slower computers

On the desktop:
• Build anything from 37 parts (bodies, wheels, engines, wings, seats and decouplers), then drive with D and A and fly with W
• Guns you fire into the screen or pick up and shoot, blades, bats, grenades, C4, mines and a nuke
• Real fluid liquids that mix: water, blood, oil, acid, lava, slime, nitro and mercury
• God powers and OS disasters: chain lightning, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, meteors, a zombie virus and the Blue Screen of Death
• MS Paint: draw solid stone, wood, ice or spikes right on the desktop
• Software you install into people, ice statues you can shatter, and people who flee, swim and pull their friends out of fires
• Copy, paste and rewind with Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Z; save whole scenes and your own vehicles
• 49 achievements, and timed tasks with a new daily one every day

More to come soon...

Version 3.0.0 Fleshbox 3.0 Fleshy shows you around, everything you break pays megabytes, the FleshOS Store sells new toys, hats and whole new operating systems, and every example vehicle now looks like the real thing. 42 изменений

Added

  • Fleshy shows you around, everything you break pays megabytes, the FleshOS Store sells new toys, hats and whole new operating systems, and every example vehicle now looks like the real thing.
  • **Fleshy** (a paperclip made of flesh) lives in the corner of the desktop and replaces the tour at startup.
  • **The desktop starts with people on it**: Kevin, two friends, a crate and a baseball bat.
  • **A quick start**: ten short goals, with an arrow pointing at the folder to open and the thing to click glowing inside it (or on the taskbar). Each one pays MB, and "I know what I'm doing" skips it:
  • 1. Throw Kevin (the Drag tool).
  • 2. **Spawn new people**: Props → Humans, or the little person on the taskbar.
  • 3. Fire a gun.
  • 4. **Use a tool**: set someone alight with the Lighter. Every other tool is in the Start menu.
  • 5. Stick C4 on someone and press G.
  • 6. Use a power.
  • 7. **Pour water**: liquids are real fluids, and people swim in them.
  • 8. **Pour lava into the water**: they make rock you can drag around.
  • 9. **Draw in Paint**: what you draw is solid. Pick Stone (or wood, ice, spikes...) and draw a platform.
  • 10. Build Kevin a car and drive it.
  • Afterwards Fleshy points out things you haven't tried yet (at most one every few minutes), tells you when you can afford something new, and reacts to the big moments. Right-click him to hide him, or to start the quick start again. He's in Control Panel → Display too.
  • **Everything you break pays MB**: kills (several in a row pay up to four times as much), lost limbs, explosions and nukes, every achievement, and task stars. The amount floats up from where it happened.
  • A daily bonus when you come back the next day.
  • Your MB are in the tray. Click them to open the Store.
  • In the Start menu, or click the MB in the tray. It only sells new things: nothing that was free is locked.
  • **Toys and weapons**: a bowling ball, a giant rubber duck, a spiked club, an anvil, a pipe bomb, mega dynamite, a piano, a 900 kg wrecking ball and a **cannon** that fires iron cannonballs.
  • **Hats**: a party hat, chef hat, hard hat, top hat, cowboy hat, propeller beanie, viking helmet and crown. Hats you own are in Props → Humans: click one, then click someone. New people sometimes come wearing one. A hard knock, or losing their head, sends the hat flying.
  • **Fleshy's wardrobe**: a party hat, shades, a top hat, a headset and a crown.
  • **Wallpapers**: Sunset Ridge, Snowfield, Red Planet, Midnight and Vaporwave.
  • The Store's biggest items. Each one reskins the whole desktop, with its own wallpaper, boot screen, startup sound and its own disaster in Powers. Switch any time in the Store or in Control Panel → Display.
  • **FleshOS 98**: grey bevelled windows on a teal desktop. Its disaster, **Illegal Operation**, rains error windows down on everyone.
  • **Pear OS X**: brushed metal, traffic-light window buttons, a menu bar along the top and a dock. Its disaster, the **Spinning Beach Ball**, is two and a half metres across and rolls over everything.
  • **Flinux**: dark panels, a terminal and Gibs the penguin. Its disaster, **sudo rm -rf**, types the command and deletes everyone, one line at a time.

Improved

  • **Performance mode** (Control Panel → Display): fewer particles, a simpler wallpaper and at most 100 people. The gore and the physics are exactly the same. If your first seconds run under 30 fps, Fleshy offers to switch it on.
  • When the graphics card is the bottleneck, FleshOS now notices and simplifies the wallpaper first.
  • The wallpaper's clouds cost less to draw (same look).
  • Every example vehicle was rebuilt to look like the real thing, and every piece it's made of is in the Parts folder, so you can build them yourself.
  • **Car**: a 90s muscle car (a convertible, so you can see the driver), with racing stripes, a hood scoop, a spoiler and sport wheels in its wheel arches.
  • **Monster truck**: an orange open-cab pickup with flames and a roll cage, on monster tyres.
  • **Rocket**: a moon rocket with the black-and-white roll pattern, a pointed nose and a fin either side.
  • **Two-stage rocket**: the first stage, a decoupler, then a second stage topped by a crew capsule with its escape tower.
  • **Glider**: a sailplane with a bubble canopy.
  • **Prop plane**: a yellow taildragger with an engine cowling, an open cockpit, a landing strut and a tail wheel.
  • **14 new parts** under a new "Bodies and shells" heading in Parts: muscle car body, monster truck body, rocket body, short rocket body, rocket nose, crew capsule, glider fuselage, plane fuselage, windshield and spoiler, plus a sport wheel, a tail wheel, a landing strut and a low bucket seat. Car bodies sit behind their wheels, so the wheels show in the arches.

Fixed

  • Limbs cut off by spiky paint, dissolved in acid or burnt off in lava no longer crash the game.
  • A person dragging a friend to safety no longer crashes when the limb they're holding comes off.
  • Spawning hundreds of people no longer breaks the game: there's now a limit of 200 people on screen, and past it the oldest one makes room.
  • Resizing the window while someone was in pieces no longer crashes.
Version 2.0.0 Contraptions update Build cars, rockets, planes and anything else you can think of, then drive them, fly them and crash them. And the Blue Screen of Death finally does something worth crashing for. 22 изменений

Added

  • Build cars, rockets, planes and anything else you can think of, then drive them, fly them and crash them. And the Blue Screen of Death finally does something worth crashing for.
  • A new **Parts** folder with 23 parts: boards, metal beams, plates and braces, glass, three sizes of wheel, a seat, a rocket engine, a jet engine, a thruster block, a propeller, wings, left and right tail fins, nose cones, a decoupler, a light and a horn.
  • **How to build.txt** at the top of the Parts folder opens in Notepad and walks you through your first car, step by step.
  • **No separate tool to learn**: click a part (or drag it out of the folder) and it follows your cursor. Click to place it, Q and E turn it, right-click turns auto-weld off, Delete removes the part under the cursor.
  • **You can see what will happen before you click.** The part's own outline follows the cursor: green means it will weld to the parts outlined with it, white means it would be loose.
  • **Wheels snap on.** Bring a wheel near your frame and it jumps onto it, on an axle at the gold dot (to the very end of a beam when you're near one). If the frame is lying on the floor it's lifted so the wheels stand on it. Wheels are never welded: a part placed over a wheel becomes its axle instead of locking it.
  • **Drive and fly**: D drives right and A drives left, W fires engines, thrusters and propellers, and G separates rocket stages at their decouplers. Wings give lift, fins keep things flying straight, rockets burn fuel and set fire to what's behind them, H honks the horn and F switches a light. Any part's key can be changed (or reversed) on its Properties sheet (Alt+Enter over it).
  • **Seats**: drag a person onto a seat to strap them in. A hard enough crash snaps the belt and sends them through the windscreen. F on the seat ejects them.
  • **Six example vehicles** to start from or pull apart: Car, Monster truck, Rocket, Two-stage rocket, Glider and Prop plane.
  • **Contraptions**: Ctrl+C on any part copies the whole vehicle, with its welds, axles and controls. Ctrl+Shift+S (or "Save contraption…" on a part's Properties) saves it to My Documents → Contraptions, ready to place again.
  • Every part has its own pixel art in one shared style: XP-blue bodywork with racing stripes, treaded tyres with chrome rims and hub caps, steel girders and diamond plate, hazard-striped decouplers, white rockets with copper nozzles, a chrome jet with a fan intake, a wooden propeller with red tips, and the FleshOS heart roundel on anything that flies.
  • Bodywork sits in front of the wheels like wheel arches, and frames sit behind them so the hubs show, so wheels no longer look stuck through the car.
  • Lights have a soft glow and a beam ahead of them.

Improved

  • The crash corrupts **every person on the screen**, each one differently. The blue screen lists the damage (`human_4.exe ...... FIRE.SYS`) and after the reboot it happens: people catch fire, shrink, grow, turn into ice statues, catch the virus, get struck by lightning, float off on balloons, launch on a rocket strapped to their back, glitch, get cloned, panic, fall asleep, lose a limb (and get it back), teleport, or melt down.
  • Half the time a **system process** starts too: an earthquake, meteors, pop-ups, a tornado, a flood, gravity flipping, or a blizzard.
  • **Express Delivery**, a new task: build a vehicle, seat the VIP in it, and drive them to the other side of the screen.
  • Seven new achievements: Kernel Panic, Road Trip, Houston, Frequent Flyer, Crash Test Dummy, Engineer and Staged.
  • A **Building** page in the tour, and a Building section in Help.

Fixed

  • Ctrl+Z no longer shakes what you built apart: welds and axles are rewound too.
  • Welds keep the angle parts were put together at (angled pieces used to be pulled straight).
  • Rocket fins on the left side no longer face the wrong way.
  • The example car's windscreen leans back instead of forward.
Version 1.2.0 Bug update 1.2: Ice statues, safer saves and polish 34 изменений

Improved

  • 1.2: Ice statues, safer saves and polish
  • Freeze someone and they're now a solid ice statue you can throw and shatter. Your desktop is also much harder to lose, saves are easier to manage, people get out of trouble more reliably, and the last old-style icons are gone.
  • ICE STATUES
  • The Freeze ray and Blizzard turn people into ice statues. They keep the pose they were caught in and stay standing, but still have physics: pick them up, throw them, stack them, knock them over
  • Throw one hard, drop it from a height or blow it up, and it shatters into frozen body parts with a spray of ice
  • A bullet or a blade chips the person free, and statues thaw on their own after a while
  • YOUR DESKTOP IS SAFER
  • Autosave every 3 minutes (only when something changed), so a crash doesn't cost you your session
  • Tasks ask first: starting one while there's something on the desktop asks before clearing it, and keeps what was there as the Autosave in My Documents. Log Off, Restart and Empty the playground keep it too
  • No undo cheating in tasks: Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+V and opening a scene are off while a task runs
  • SAVES AND SCREENSHOTS
  • Save As: Save scene now asks for a name, and asks before saving over an existing one
  • Ctrl+S saves straight into the scene you last saved or opened
  • Right-click a scene or screenshot in My Documents or My Pictures to Open, Rename or Delete it
  • Picture Viewer: click a screenshot to see it big, step through the others, or delete it
  • PAINT
  • Undo in Paint: with Paint out, Ctrl+Z (or the new Undo button) takes back the last stroke, fill or erase, up to 20 times. Clear can be undone too
  • PEOPLE
  • Rescues work: someone pulling a friend out of a fire takes hold from arm's length instead of tripping over them
  • Getting out of floods: swimmers find the edge, climb out while treading water, and actually make it
  • Swimming is faster, and someone dropped into water still only sinks about a metre
  • POLISH
  • Pixel icons everywhere: message boxes, the tray, the Start menu, balloons, Control Panel, the tour and tasks. 34 new icons
  • Achievement badges are drawn in the same pixel style; locked ones are grey
  • Help and Support is rewritten in sections, with every key from 1.1 and 1.2
  • The desktop's windows cost less to draw with lots of people around

Fixed

  • FIXES
  • Lightning on someone frozen with the Freeze tool sent their body parts flying apart and through the walls. Frozen people now stay exactly where they are
  • Programs installed into someone (Zip, Overclock, Ghost…) were lost on Ctrl+Z, copy/paste or save/open, which could leave a shrunk person stuck small
  • Saved scenes and screenshots can now be deleted
  • Windows from a scene saved on a bigger screen stay on screen
  • Миниатюра Re-saving a scene refreshes its
  • Typing a name no longer triggers game keys
  • Memory that was never freed after many undos and spawns

Version 1.1.0 Update 1: FleshOS Service Pack 1 (October 2026) New to FleshOS 52 изменений

Added

  • New to FleshOS
  • Tour FleshOS: a short welcome tour on first start (Start menu → Tour FleshOS to see it again), and one-time tips the first time you do something. Both can be turned off in Control Panel.
  • Folders, cleaned up: Props, Weapons, Explosives, Software, Powers and Liquids, each with Icons and Tiles views.
  • Software (replaces syringes)
  • Eleven programs you install into people: pick one in the Software folder and click someone (or drag it onto them), then watch the progress bar.
  • Antivirus.exe heals (and cures the virus), Overclock.exe makes them strong (until they overheat), Hibernate.exe puts them to sleep, Defrag.exe puts lost limbs back, Ctrl+Z.exe brings back the recently dead, Zip.exe / Unzip.exe shrink and grow, Ghost.exe lets things pass through, Magnet.exe pulls metal, Corrupt.exe glitches them, and Fleshy.exe is your helpful assistant.
  • Each person's Properties sheet (Alt+Enter) has a Programs tab with Uninstall.
  • Weapons
  • Nine guns you hold (pick up with Drag, aim with Q/E, fire with F): Rifle, Revolver, Sniper (pierces five people), Minigun (spins up), Nail gun (pins limbs to walls and windows), Crossbow (bolts carry people and pin them), Flamethrower, Laser (cuts and cauterises) and Grenade launcher.
  • Pistol, Shotgun, SMG, Railgun and Rocket launcher still fire into the screen.
  • New melee: Chainsaw, Frying pan, Scythe, Mace.
  • New throwables: Molotov, Sticky bomb, Cluster grenade, Flashbang, Claymore, Firework.
  • Liquids
  • A new Liquids folder: Water, Blood, Oil, Acid, Lava, Slime, Nitro and Mercury. They share one fluid, so they mix and layer by weight.
  • Oil burns, acid eats flesh and props, nitro explodes on impact, slime holds on, mercury floats almost anything, and lava sets things alight. Lava poured into water makes rocks you can drag around.
  • Things float or sink by what they're made of. Nothing gets launched out of heavy liquids, and someone dropped into deep water bobs back up.
  • MS Paint
  • Paint (taskbar brush icon) draws solid terrain right on the desktop: pencil, brush, lines, boxes, ellipses, fill and eraser, in 28 colours.
  • Made of: Stone, Wood (burns), Ice (melts), Spikes (stab), Bouncy, Sticky, or Just colour (draw without anything solid). Pick the material and the colour separately.
  • Build pools, ramps, cages and shelves. Water stays in what you draw, and explosions blow holes in it.
  • Powers: OS disasters
  • Blue Screen of Death: everyone collapses, then FleshOS restarts.
  • Virus: click someone to infect them. They chase and bite, and the bitten turn. Antivirus.exe cures it.
  • Windows Update: a progress bar you can't cancel; at 100% the whole desktop restarts.
  • Recycle vortex: the Body Bin opens and swallows everything on the screen, liquids included.
  • Gravity: normal, off or upside down, plus a gravity well under the cursor.
  • Earthquake, Meteor shower, Freeze ray / Blizzard (people encased in ice, water turned to ice) and Pop-up storm (solid pop-up ads rain down; close them one by one).
  • People who react
  • People duck after a nearby shot, run from fires, blasts, tornadoes, the vortex and the infected, and climb onto ledges and windows to escape a flood.
  • They swim to the surface and climb out at the edge, struggle when you pick them up, and look at your cursor.
  • Sometimes someone drags an unconscious friend out of a fire.
  • Their mood (Calm, Scared, Panicking…) is on the Properties sheet.
  • New tools
  • Copy / Cut / Paste (Ctrl+C / Ctrl+X / Ctrl+V): copies keep their wounds, missing limbs and blood.
  • Undo (Ctrl+Z): rewinds the last five seconds. Press again to go further back.
  • Select: drag a box to select many things, then drag them together, freeze them (right-click) or delete them (Delete).
  • Resize (scroll over a prop or person), Thruster, Balloon, Motor, Spring and Hinge.
  • Screenshot (Print Screen): saves to My Pictures (My Morgue → My Pictures).
  • Goals and saves
  • Achievements.exe: 42 achievements, from spawning your first person to undoing a nuke, with progress bars. Some unlock new wallpapers (Luna Silver, Olive, Bliss at Night) and items (Golden katana, Rubber duck nuke). The Statistics tab keeps your lifetime totals.
  • Tasks.exe: short timed challenges with a star rating (Hands Off, Pool Party, Lights Out, Protect the VIP, Chain Reaction), plus a new daily challenge each day.
  • Save scene (Start menu): the whole desktop (people and their injuries, props, drawings, liquids, windows) goes to My Documents. Click a save to open it again. Your last desktop is kept as an Autosave.

Improved

  • Polish
  • New icons everywhere: a pixel-art icon set in the style of the people and FleshOS, on the desktop, in the folders, the Start menu and the taskbar. The missing program icons are fixed.
  • Redrawn guns: every held gun has its recognisable parts: scope and bipod, magazines, the minigun's barrels, the crossbow's limbs and string.
  • New sounds: impacts, hits, gunshots and explosions remade so they sound like the object, without the tinny ringing or drum-like thumps.
  • Gentler screen damage: the stuck lines when the screen breaks are now short and faint, with only a few at a time.

Fixed

  • Fixes
  • Lava, mercury and other heavy liquids no longer fling props to the top of the screen.
  • People spawned in or dropped into water no longer shoot up, or sink to the bottom.
  • Fixed a crash when someone lost both their feet and their pelvis while something nearby was scaring them.
  • Fixed parts of some props not being drawn.
