Orbital Industries has won the contract of the century: a fleet for the flight to a neighbouring star. You are the chief engineer of a shipyard orbiting a gas giant, and your dispatcher is ORBI, a polite AI who quotes the regulations and counts every hull plate.
How it plays
- Tractor beams pull ore out of the asteroid stream drifting past the station.
- Conveyor lines carry it through smelters, presses and assembly tables: hull plates, glass, water, batteries, engine nozzles, copper wire, flight computers, nitinol antennas.
- Fill each shipment at the dock: 25 shipments across 8 chapters.
- When the station slides into the giant's shadow, only your batteries keep the lines running.
- Research upgrades and launch satellites from the cosmodrome to bring back helium-3 and metals from the asteroid belt.
