RED LIFT

RED LIFT is my spiritual Half-Life mod turned 1–6 player co-op survival horror FPS, and still very much an experimental sketchbook. I wanted to make a high-consequence shooter reminiscent of Fallout: New Vegas, Killing Floor, old F.E.A.R., and the kind of Source games that let you do stupid shit simply because the systems allow it. You know, the good shit.

• ONE LARGE URBAN MAP — Hedron City, Mars. Streets, stores, rooftops, interiors, bunkers, windows, shortcuts and plenty of questionable ways to escape.
• MANHUNT AI [MaI] — Unlike traditional point-to-player zombies, every Red has its own little cognitive pathway filtering what it notices, remembers and reacts to. Some are basically sleepy idiots. Some are frighteningly sharp. Sometimes they hunt. Sometimes they deliberately fuck with you.
• TERMINAL CHAOS MODEL [TCM] — Simulated projectile penetration, fragmentation, tumbling and terminal behavior for high-velocity and specialized ammunition.
• Anytime L.S.D. [LSD]— Limb Separation & Dismemberment. Blow off an arm, leg or head and the body actually has to deal with it. Not fully implemented but I wanted to share at least one Red with it in place.
• PERSISTENT BLOOD FIELD — Blood stays in the world and ties back into Manhunt. The aftermath matters.
• SIMULATED PLAYER BODY & PHYSIOLOGY — Height, weight, inertia, stamina, encumbrance, heartbeat, breathing, injury, blood loss, coughing and wheezing.
• REAL WEIGHT & ENCUMBRANCE — Carry whatever the hell you want. Then deal with the burden of it.
• WEAPONS WITH ACTUAL HANDLING — Persistent recoil, movement inertia, procedural sway and independent dual-wielded weapons. The body is holding the gun, not a floating camera. [WIP]
• 6 RPG DISCIPLINES — Gunfighter, Bulwark, Tracker, Mule, Chaos Increaser and Medic. Each primary discipline comes with a body with its own weight/height/inertia/skills.
• 7 ACTIVE RED TYPES - Deadliest Reds to be added later. (Need animations because readability)
• 13+ WEAPONS and counting :), love 'Nam guns, hate sci-fi.
• PHYSICAL SUPPLIES, MEDICAL GEAR, EXPLOSIVES & EQUIPMENT
• RUDIMENTARY PHYSICS & RAGDOLLS [Crude WIP] I'd like to explore this fully mixing active ragdolls and of course blended with some good ol [LSD]
• ORIGINAL MUSIC - by Me and Friends
• 1–6 PLAYER DEDICATED-SERVER CO-OP
• DOORS. WELDABLE DORS. HARRY DRESDEN IS GONNA LOVE THESE.
