Everything you need is out in the snow. SnowStorm is a single-player winter survival game with an overhead view. Leave your cabin, explore a frozen woodland, search abandoned houses and cars, and bring supplies home before the cold or wildlife catches up with you. Deep snow slows travel, so choosing a route matters—on foot and behind the wheel. Survive, explore, and learn • Stay warm: manage cold and health, find shelter, build campfires, and return to your cabin to rest. • Scavenge supplies: search cars and house chests, pick locked doors, and manage your backpack, hotbar, and Jeep cargo. • Learn from books: read recovered books at the cabin table to unlock firecraft, tailoring, armor, weapon, and lockpicking skills. Finished books fill your shelf. • Craft and gather: chop trees, collect wood, make useful supplies, and improve your equipment as you learn. • Take the Jeep: haul supplies across snowy terrain, switch into low-speed crawl mode for difficult ground, and shovel out the wheels when you get stuck. • Watch the wildlife: bears make an outing dangerous. Keep your tools, bandages, and bear spray ready. • Make a survivor: choose a name and outfit color, save your character's progress locally, or start fresh using Reset progress. • Settle into the atmosphere: falling snow, footprints and tire tracks, warm cabin lighting, lo-fi music, and positional gameplay sounds. Beta release SnowStorm is actively being developed. This beta is an early playable version, and bugs, unfinished details, balance changes, and performance issues are expected. Character saves preserve survivor progress locally; they are not a complete snapshot of every object in the world. Continuing brings you back to the cabin. Feedback is welcome in the Forum tab. For a bug report, describe what happened and what you were doing beforehand. For frame-rate drops, include whether performance recovered afterward and your hardware if you know it. Quick controls WASD — move / drive and steer E — interact, enter or exit the Jeep; hold to pick a lock Left click — use the selected item or tool Right click — nearby actions, including digging out the Jeep I / Tab — inventory, books, and crafting 1–5 / mouse wheel — select items C — toggle Jeep crawl mode Space / F — Jeep brake / headlights Escape — close an open menu or pause The pause menu includes Controls, Settings, Save progress, and Reset progress. Resetting starts a new survivor, so use it only when you want a fresh start.
