## Description

The world outside the walls belongs to the infected. Your Command Nexus stands in the middle of it with a handful of personnel, a few days of rations and orders to hold out. Every day the colony grows, it gets louder, and the noise draws them in.

There are too many is a single-player real-time strategy game about building a colony and keeping it alive. Grow an economy on the wild ground around you, raise walls and turrets, train an army, and survive the hordes that come on set days, until the final horde comes from every side at once.

One breach is all it takes. When the infected break into a hab, the people inside turn, and the outbreak spreads from inside your walls.
Build a colony
- Seven resources: credits, timber, concrete, alloy and fuel, with rations, crew and power to balance.
- Hab Pods grow into Hab Blocks and Hab Towers. Farms, mills, excavators, a power grid of Wind Turbines and Pylons, and an Exchange for trade.
- A Tech Lab with eight research lines, and a Foundry for the late game.

Hold the line
- Barricades and Bulwarks drawn as whole lines, Blast Gates your units can pass through, Spike Strips and Shock Mines.
- Rail Turrets, the chain-lightning Arc Tower, and Sensor Masts that see far into the fog and hold two of your soldiers.

Command an army
- Scouts, Troopers, Marksmen, Incinerators, rocket-firing Lancers and the walking gun platform, the Juggernaut.
- The Warden, one at a time from your Command Nexus, with Overcharge and an orbital strike.
- Veterans rise from Private to Commando. Attack-move, patrol, hold, formations, rally points and control groups.

Know your enemy
- Husks, Sprinters, Bloaters, wall-leaping Leapers, Spitters and bile-lobbing Spewers.
- Lurkers crawl out of Blight nests in the deep forest. The towering Colossus. The Behemoth leads the final horde.
- Sleeping clusters roam the fog and wake to gunfire.

Every game is different
- Four map shapes (open ground, island, river valley, crossroads) with water and cliff ridges, three sizes and five start positions.
- Games of 15 to 40 days on Easy, Normal, Hard or Brutal. Larger maps bring hordes from more sides.
- A challenge of the week on a shared seed, best scores, and statistics across games.

Also: saving and loading with autosave, game speed 1×, 2× and 4×, rebindable keys, a guided first game and colour-safe alerts.

Keyboard and mouse. Single player.

Music: "Ashfall", made for the game, with "Boss Battle \#9 \[Metal\]" by nene and "Heavy Battle 2" by MintoDog (CC0, OpenGameArt). Sound effects: CC0 recordings from Freesound.
