THE CIRCLE HAS NOT BEEN INVENTED.

Wheels are square. Coins are hexagonal. Clocks tick in twelve straight lines. The Ministry of Fewer Corners has funded your laboratory to solve the Angle Reduction Problem, and you are its technicians.

Blanks come out square. The machines make them less square — or differently square. Three instruments measure the result, and none of them are impressed.

- 1-4 technicians, one shared laboratory. One funding pool, one quota, one set of mistakes. Share the blame.
- Cut it, press it, burn it, mill it, drop it. Three-way guillotine, hydraulic press, directional laser, absurd polygonal CNC, drop tower. Specimens are really cut -- no swapped models.
- Measured, not guessed. Roundness, symmetry, integrity. The gauge does not round up.
- Miss the quota and the day rewinds. Same day, TAKE 2. Try to look busy.
- Seven days. The last one wants roundness 0.985. Circles invented so far: 0.

Upgrade the machines. It will not help.
